With the underwhelming candidates in tonight's GOP debate, it is little wonder that the conservative base is lacking its traditional fire. Sam Brownback and Mike Huckabee appear to be the true conservatives in the race, but they have ZERO, ZIP, NADA as far as name recognition goes. Maybe this post should have been entitled "Calling Fred Thompson..." However, that might have been tried; Tommy Thompson just showed up by mistake.
